Pyramids FC manager Sebastien Desabre has reflected on his side’s victory over Enugu Rangers in the CAF Confederation Cup’s group stages.
Pyramids defeated Nigerian outfit, Enugu Rangers, 3-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to earn their first three points of Group A.
Enugu opened the scoring in the first half through Ibrahim Olawoyin, but Pyramids turned the game around in the second half, scoring three goals after Emmanuel Olusesi was sent off at the stroke of half-time.
Speaking after the game, Desabre talked about the importance of the victory and says that his side wants to challenge for the CAF Confederation Cup title.
“It’s an important victory and it should lift the spirits of the players,” Desabre said in a press conference after the game.
“The sending off along with the changes we made in the second half was the reason we successfully turned around the game and scored three goals.
“I hope we continue playing like this because we have aspirations of winning the title.” he added.
